Description |
The new top-of-the-range SPIUK helmet promises to be one of this season’s reference points. It is a helmet for professional use which everyone can afford. The aim was to create an aggressive and contemporary look in line with market trends. In any case, the new DAGGON design maintains the SPIUK touch in its shape, one of the brand identity signs.
Lightweight, the small size is just 270 g., comfortable and very well ventilated, the DAGGON is a novel helmet with leading-edge In-Mould Multi-frame technology guaranteeing greater safety and comfort. Structurally, it incorporates an internal frame, like a skeleton, made of high performance polymer, which is covered in expanded polystyrene. Its carbon fibre reinforcement, including the helmet ribs, the strategic areas, is its best guarantee in this aspect.
Thanks to this, SPIUK has managed to create a perfectly ventilated helmet. Its 27 openings are larger in size ensuring excellent ventilation for the head while in no way affecting reliability. DAGGON’s great comfort is afforded by the studied shape of the helmet dome created following detailed studies on anthropometry and cranial morphology. The inner straps are covered in soft, springy padding which can be substituted by an anti-insect net which comes free of charge with the helmet.
The DAGGON has successfully passed all controls and impact tests, and is certified to CE standards, as well as European and the CPSC, (US Consumer Product Safety Commission) standards.
The DAGGON helmet is available in sizes S-M (51 to 56 cm.) and M-L (53 to 61 cm.), and in 7 colour versions, as well as the versions for the AG2R-La Mondiale and Andalucía-Cajasur teams, which used the DAGGON in the Tour de France 08 and Vuelta a España 08 respectively.
