My Signature

By Sarah Meyssonnier

Lille was a Flemish, Burgundian, Spanish city before it was French. The 2004 European Capital of Culture has exceptional artistic and historical heritage. And is notable for its deep rooted cycling culture. Doubtless influenced by nearby Liège and the capital, Paris.

Sarah Meyssonnier is a clear example of the suggestive blend of cycling passion and love of art that is Lille. Its favourite means of transport is the bike. And the medium through which it gives free reign to its artistic expression: photography.

“I like mixing urban and classic photography to produce artistic images. Images that are different to what’s normally published”

Her artistic sensitivity has enabled Sarah to perceive the world of cycling from a different perspective. Full of emotion. Capable of transmitting the sensations that evoke this unique moment. The fleeting instant. The breath of life that’s inherent to the joy of cycling.

Whilst we ride around its Flemish Gothic and Baroque streets, Sarah approaches with here bike and ponders smiling: “I like mixing urban and classic photography to produce artistic images. Images that are different to what’s normally published”.

When her inseparable camera is not focusing on her next objective, Sarah enjoys the privileged cycling environment of the Hauts-de-France region. The Signature bib shorts and jersey, with their characteristic design, are now here preferred riding clothes.
